**Description**: 
THE ROLE
As the IT Help Desk Officer, you will be the main contact point to assist users, entities and business units requiring 1st Level help desk support.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Provide polite & professional customer service with a smile and friendly demeanour. 
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware, phone systems, printing, and all IT related queries 
- Determine the customer's needs and offer to follow up on anything that cannot be rectified on first contact 
- Gather and analyse information about the user's issue 
- Assist in onboarding and offboarding of employees 
- Document all issues in 1st level support ticket system Manage Engine, update and ensure issues are closed off. 
- Ensure knowledge base and IT processes are updated to assist users in everyday issues
YOUR BACKGROUND 
- HSC Qualifications or Computer Science degree 
- Similar experience in a previous role 
- Clear communication skills 
- Technical knowledge of computers and operating systems 
- Effective communication and experience in transitioning processes and procedures during systems implementations 
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills. 
- Excellent documentation skills
