We are looking for aproperty lawyer with a minimum 4 years of PAE to join our busy Property & Commercial team.
About the role:
This is an exciting opportunity to grow alongside our thriving commercial & property team where you will have the opportunity to provide advice on (and be exposed to) a broad range of property and commercial matters for our ASX-listed, public unlisted and private clients. On a day-to-day basis the role will typically involve dealing with all aspects of property law and general commercial matters and in particular:
* drafting and negotiating contracts for the sale of land;
* drafting and negotiating leases and associated documentation and providing advice on all leasing matters;
* dealing with sales and acquisitions including conducting matters from due diligence, contract negotiation and completion;
* advising on property development matters, and matters regarding the Strata Titles Act, Duties Act, Contaminated Sites Act and Personal Property Securities Act;
* dealing with land title and land use issues, including drafting and registration of instruments such as easements and restrictive covenants;
* advising on and drafting general commercial contracts, including agreements for the sale of business, sale of shares, finance documents and securities; and
* managing client files and delivering clear and practical advice.
About you:
We are looking for a candidate who is looking to grow and advance their legal career and who possesses the following:
* 4+ years post-admission experience in property law and general commercial law;
* strong analytical, legal research and drafting skills;
* excellent communication and client relationship skills;ability to manage competing priorities and work both autonomously and in a team;
* a commitment to excellence and strong attention to detail;
* ability to produce high quality and commercial advice for clients and complying with tight timeframes;
* ability to supervise and mentor junior lawyers and members of the team;
* have experience using PEXA and Revenue Online.
