**The Role**
Reporting to the APS 6 HR and Project Officer, you will coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities from interview through to management of the induction and on-boarding of new employees to ensure their experience is positive and consistent. The broader team will also rely on you to provide timely and accurate responses to routine HR queries regarding policies, procedures and employee entitlements.
In addition, your responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems to ensure compliance with data integrity, privacy and record-keeping requirements.
- Maintaining the HR calendar, monitoring key dates and milestones such as contract renewals, mandatory training dates, and probation review periods.
- Assisting with performance management processes by preparing documentation, monitoring timelines and supporting follow-up activities.
- Providing administrative support for internal HR communications, events and employee engagement activities.
- Supporting the broader HR team with general administrative tasks.
**Whilst this position has been advertised through Department of Defence, in line with the announcement made by the Australian Government on 14 Mar 23, this position will move to a new Statutory Agency with an effective date yet to be confirmed.**
