About the Role
As an integral member of our Finance team, the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting internal teams across multiple locations. You’ll work closely with clinical and administrative staff to uphold efficiency, compliance, and excellence in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately code, batch, and record invoices in compliance with financial policies
- Match invoices with supporting documents (e.g. POs, contracts, delivery dockets)
- Schedule and process EFT and cheque payments, including manual cheque payments when required
- Monitor and manage outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments and maintain supplier relations
- Allocate and process refunds (patients, Medicare, Workers' Compensation, third-party providers)
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with month-end and year-end AP close processes
- Manage petty cash and credit card allocations
- Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance
- Handle enquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a professional and timely manner
- Control stationery and office supply ordering across multiple practices
- Uphold patient privacy and financial confidentiality at all times
- Support the training of new team members and actively participate in team meetings and performance reviews
- Follow all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and promote a healthy work environment
About you
Skills & experience
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable function within the healthcare industry (experience in radiology highly regarded)
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and RapidAP
- Strong Excel and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills and professional phone manner
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong team collaboration and the ability to thrive under pressure

The hourly rate will be negotiated with the successful applicant based on skills and experience.
