Barossa Village Inc. are a successful not for profit aged care provider, offering a comprehensive range of services from independent retirement living, home support, home care services, and residential care. We are looking for a friendly, warm and motivated full time Gardener to join our team! The Gardener is responsible for the delivery of gardening, landscaping and preventative maintenance services. Responsibilities: Delivery of services identified within the gardening plan and maintenance team remit. Monitoring, maintenance and servicing of Maintenance Team equipment and vehicles to ensure safe and efficient working conditions. Purchasing and accounting for cost (e.g. purchase orders) relevant to the performance of works in line with Barossa Village policies and procedures. Record keeping and documentation (e.g. as constructed drawings, collection and collation of material and product information) relevant to the performance of works. Support the ongoing management of Independent Living Unit Stock, external areas of the Residential Care Facility, other Commercial Buildings and deliver relevant support to Barossa Village Home Care Programs. To be successful in this role you will need: Specific trade certificates (e.g. Certificate III in Horticulture with 3-5 years’ experience) and/or equivalent relevant experience sufficient to support the achievement of the roles responsibilities e.g. gardening, horticulture, viticulture. Excellent time management, organisation and planning skills. Ability to work effectively unsupervised. Police Check/Clearance no older than 12 months at appointment.
