About the role ARRCS are actively sourcing a qualified Personal Care Worker to join our Home Care Team on an ad hoc Casual basis only. Working as a casual will mean that you do not have a fixed roster or guarantee of shifts – Y ou will be contacted when shifts are available to source your availability and to confirm or decline. These roles are at an hourly rate of $36.59 - $38.19 / hour gross base 25% casual loading. (dependent on experience). Based out of our Darwin office and servicing clients within inner and regional Darwin, your role as Personal Care Worker – Home Care will see you travelling to people’s homes and providing care and support within the consumers home environment. Tasks include undertaking cleaning, bed making, personal care including grooming, toileting, showering, mobility and assisting with meals. You may also be required to assist with social support, taking consumers to appointments and shopping. As the ideal candidate, you will bring previous experience preferably within the Aged Care industry. You will be comfortable travelling to people’s homes to provide this care and able to retain a fully insured and reliable vehicle with full-comprehensive insurance. You will have a caring and understanding approach, whilst also able to understand a consumer’s care-plan and delegated services provided by their My Aged Care funding. You will enjoy travelling to people’s homes and providing a service with strong customer service attitude and respect. Please note: Visa sponsorship is not available with this role. Skills & experience: To be considered for this role, we do have that you submit your resume addressing the following requirements: Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Care, Disability or Aged Care. A current or willing to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate to the standard 3.2.2A. Demonstrated experience in assisting with the activities of daily living in a community or Home Care setting preferably, however, not essential. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and both verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment.
