Position: Sales Representative & Product Developer

Purpose: Maximize sales and profit of the assigned Enza Zaden customer base with the existing product portfolio and realizing product development from the Introduction phase on. In addition support the decision‐making process and successful introduction of new varieties.
Key Accountabilities
* Responsible for the sales at subsidiary level for a group of customers, undertaking activities to develop and expand the market and sales within that pool of customers.
* Accountable for the budget, forecast and pricing within the assigned group of customers and area of responsibility.
* Develop customer plans to ensure proper implementation and execution of tactical plans.
* Develop and maintain business relationships with (potential) customers to promote brand awareness and secure profitable relationships.
* Execute key customer plans of allocated customers.
* Keep up to date about developments in the Enza Zaden product range and provide reliable technical advice to customers to ensure successful cultivation and trial of new varieties.
* Identify new promising experimental varieties from local screening and global breeding, and actively contribute to the new variety decision process.
* Support the introduction of new Enza Zaden varieties with technical support and clear positioning toward customers and prospects. Develop a trial plan and ensure optimum trial material seed supply.
* Collect market and customer data and supply it to the market intelligence team. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats, reporting to the Sales Manager/Subsidiary Sales Manager.

* Subsidiary Sales Manager – Reporting progress, receiving advice/support/information.
* Product Manager – Jointly plan new variety introductions, report on market feedback and trial results.
* Breeding teams – Report on evaluation of new varieties.
* Marketing Manager – Execute actions from the marketing promotion plan.
* Customer Service – Mutual reporting, advice, support, information.
External Contacts
* Customers – Maintain close connection with existing and potential customers to achieve sales targets, understand market dynamics, set up trials, introduce new products and co‐create value. Include Key Growers, Plantrials, Dealers and Purchasing Managers.
Financial Responsibilities
* Revenue: EUR 1 to 6 million (depending on the country).
* Budget: N/A.
Qualifications
* Higher professional level (HBO, Bachelor, College).
* Minimum 1 to 10 years relevant work experience, depending on level.
* Customer orientation, result and sales driven.
* Strong communication, analytical and collaboration skills.
* Agricultural background.
Working Conditions & Levels
* Junior (Level 1) – Products of moderate technical complexity or very low; moderate accounts; focus on personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships and troubleshooting specific problems. Medium coaching.
* Level 2 – May have special markets / complex product lines; typical accounts highly challenging, complex, diverse; focus on personal sales targets, new business development, problem troubleshooting; support junior sales professionals.
* Level 3 – Products very critical and complex requiring high technical expertise and client relationship skills; focus on few large or very complex key customers within a designated geographic territory.
