The Tasmanian Community Paediatric service (TCPS) comprises of an amazing, dedicated multidisciplinary team of paediatricians, allied health professional and clinical nurse consultants who are well supported by the administrative team, comprising of the Customer Service Officer, an Executive Assistant and an Executive and Project Support Officer. There are 20 Kids Care Clinics (KCCs) statewide in outreach settings. The TCPS team work closely with strategic partners in the community to triage referrals in timely manner and place-based appointments to achieve improved outcomes for children and their families.

The Role:

The primary role of the Executive assistant (EA) is to support the head of the Tasmanian Community Paediatric Service in managing the administrative tasks. These will include but not be limited to, keeping records of leave requests of the team, arranging various meetings and taking minutes of the scheduled meetings, maintaining and sharing the clinical footprint calendar and arranging travel and accommodation needs of the staff undertaking statewide clinics. The EA will also be responsible for contacting appropriate personnel from facilities for any office management needs. The EA will work collaboratively with the TCPS team to ensure the administrative functions of the office run smoothly and support the Customer Service Officer with their role.

You will need:

* Demonstrated high level administrative skills, together with broad experience in contemporary office management practices.
* Demonstrated ability to utilise hospital information systems and software applications, to create and maintain databases, prepare correspondence and generate reports.
* Proven ability to plan, set daily work priorities and work effectively and efficiently both individually and as a member of a team to meet deadlines and achieve set objectives.

Details of appointment:

Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of up to six months.

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $73,811 to $79,779 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
