Business Development Manager, Perth, W.A.
Position SummaryThe role is responsible for identifying, developing, and winning new service and maintenance business by offering solutions utilizing Gardner Denver's product range and service capability.
The position also accelerates key aftermarket opportunities and accounts within an assigned territory while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
New business development constitutes approximately 70% of the role, with the remaining 30% focused on account and key account management.
Key Accountabilities
Determine market possibilities for new aftermarket products and expand the market for existing products.
Implement processes, initiatives, and rollout of Gardner Denver service and spares programs, including signing service contracts with new customers and key accounts and converting existing customers onto long-term service and maintenance plans.
Establish Voice of Customer-oriented surveys to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
Identify and evaluate aftermarket opportunities and understand customer requirements for industrial sales and aftermarket business units.
Identify key accounts and targets, ensuring effective account management of customer businesses and proactive targeting for additional service work in conjunction with local service managers.
Maintain knowledge of day-to-day market development and accurately assess and evaluate new business opportunities.
Provide support to the Customer Service Manager, Sales Specialists, internal personnel, and external customers.
Produce weekly and monthly reports to management.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Customer Management
Appraise current and planned customer needs and advise on suitable applications of products and/or services, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction in line with the company Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Offer assistance and explanation when difficulties arise, ensuring complaints are followed up and satisfactory solutions are obtained.
Maintain and develop close relationships with key accounts and ensure their requirements are met wherever possible.
Resolve customer complaints and dispute resolution.
Quality
Support company objectives in accordance with ISO **** quality accreditation.
Environment Health & Safety
Support company objectives relating to environment, health and safety.
Ensure the working environment is safe at all times and activities conducted are safe and do not harm self or others.
Eliminate risks in the working environment by conducting housekeeping, risk assessments, and working with the line manager to mitigate hazards.
Take a leading role in safety risk assessment and audit.
Implement procedures for the safety of others through appropriate operation of equipment before ascertaining correct procedures and usage of personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses).
