Speech Pathologist Role Overview
We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide high-quality clinical teaching and speech pathology services.
* The role involves providing clinical expertise in speech pathology assessment and intervention for individuals with communication and swallowing disorders across residential aged care facilities, bed-based transition care program, and as required subacute inpatient units.
This position will be aligned with The University of Melbourne and will contribute to the delivery of the highest standard of clinical teaching to students.
Key Responsibilities
As a Speech Pathologist, you will:
* Assess and manage patients in accordance with up-to-date knowledge of departmental clinical policies and currently accepted professional standards of practice.
* Contribute to the clinical education program and provide support to speech pathology staff (in conjunction with the Clinical Education lead) in the provision of clinical education.
* Ensure that speech pathology services provided are based on the latest available evidence.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.
* Postgraduate qualifications in Speech Pathology or related field.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in Speech Pathology, including experience in teaching and mentoring students.
