A well-established organisation operating in the industrial and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team. The business has a strong reputation for delivering technical solutions across complex projects and continues to experience sustainable growth.
Your new role
You will oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation and submission of monthly and annual financial statements
- Managing cash flow and forecasting
- Budget development and monitoring
- Tax compliance including BAS, GST, PAYG, and FBT
- Oversight of asset management and supplier agreements
- Liaising with auditors and financial institutions
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; CPA or CA preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
- Proficiency in Xero and advanced Excel skills; experience with PowerBI desirable
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
