Townsville HHS are seeking a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist (Intensivist) to join the Intensive Care Unit, Surgical Service Group at Townsville University Hospital on a fixed term temporary part-time basis.
Deliver high-quality critical care, lead service development, and contribute to teaching and research in a dynamic tertiary ICU setting.

Competitive salary and benefits
Hourly rate: $100.78–$127.77 (L18–L27)
Pro rata benefits based on full-time equivalent:
* Attraction and retention incentive allowance: 50% of base salary
* Regional and rural attraction allowance: 5% of base salary
* Motor vehicle allowance: $21,000–$25,500 p.a.
* Professional development allowance: $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks p.a. leave
Provide optimal patient care as an Intensivist, lead service development, and contribute to teaching and research.
This is a fixed term temporary part-time position (32 hours per fortnight) for up to 3 years.
Requirements
* Medical practitioner with qualifications in Intensive Care Medicine
* Current registration or eligibility for registration as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
* Credentialed Scope of Clinical Practice (SoCP) with THHS
* Compliance with Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) requirements
