Who You Are
You're a skilled and safety-conscious Boiler Operator with expertise in managing and maintaining boilers and related systems to ensure optimal performance. You have a solid understanding of heating systems, pressure systems, and safety regulations, and excel at performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your attention to detail, technical knowledge, and commitment to safety make you a reliable professional in maintaining efficient and safe operations.
At KBR, you bring dedication, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to every task. You are capable of working independently and managing high-pressure systems, contributing to smooth operations and mission success. What You'll Do
In the role of Boiler Operator, your duties will include:
* Monitoring and operating boiler systems to ensure efficiency and safety compliance.
* Performing routine maintenance and repairs.
* Responding to emergency situations and resolving issues promptly.
* Maintaining accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance activities.
* Starting and shutting down boilers.
* Conducting safety and maintenance inspections.
* Tracking water levels and gauges.
Requirements:
* Must be a US or Australian citizen.
* Must possess an active US TS/SCI with Counterintelligence Polygraph or AUS PV Clearance.
* A minimum of 4 years' experience as a Boiler Operator or in a similar role.
* High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications or vocational training preferred).
* Completion of an apprenticeship or formal training in boiler operation, mechanical systems, or related fields.
* Valid Boiler Operator license or certification.
* Knowledge of steam and hot water boilers, combustion systems, and associated components (pumps, valves, gauges, etc.).
* Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
* Proficiency in operating control systems and monitoring boiler performance.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Critical thinking and collaboration skills.
This role will be located in Alice Springs. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
