As the business continues to grow, our client is now seeking a skilled and qualified Painter and Decorator to welcome into their busy team.
Tenure – The role is full-time and ongoing.
Location – The work base is in Melton, Victoria, with work locations largely in the north and western Melbourne suburban area.
Salary – Negotiable in the range of $75k to $80k plus superannuation per annum.
Duties will include
Painting to the highest standard of workmanship – surface prep, as well as mixing and matching.
Working with a deep understanding of OHS practices and requirements, apply protective and decorative coats of paint, varnish and / or other related materials to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and other structures.
Washing, scraping, sanding and / or smoothing interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing or applying other related materials.
Thoroughly cleaning equipment, paint mixing area and work area.
Installing, repairing, and maintaining all sorts of internal surfaces, walls to ceilings.
Competently erect and use apparatus (ladders and planks) to work safely at all heights.
Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials, and other hazardous materials.

Qualifications
Possess relevant trade Certificate Level IV or agreed substitute.
Have a minimum of one or more years of working experience in the field, since you acquired your qualifications.
Well experienced in all aspects of the painting trade.
Strong communication skills with a focus on teamwork, patience, and empathy.
Comfortable working in a team or independently.
A clear Driver's License is essential.
Eager to secure a full-time salaried position (so this role is not suitable for sub-contractors).
You must have unrestricted full-time Australian working rights to be considered.
