About the opportunity
Working a DIDO roster (5:2) across a 57‐hour, 5‐day work week, Altrad is seeking an experienced Painter Supervisor to join our growing team supporting structural remediation works within a major industrial environment. Camp accommodation, a company vehicle, and travel allowance support for 2 hours each way are provided.
This is a hands‐on leadership role overseeing a small team of Painter Blasters within a fast‐paced site environment, where safety, quality and productivity are critical to successful project delivery. It is an excellent opportunity for a safety‐focused supervisor seeking long‐term stability and career growth.
In this role you will:
* Lead and supervise Painter Blaster crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to required quality standards and client specifications.
* Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all personnel understand and comply with safety, environmental and operational requirements.
* Plan and coordinate daily work activities, labour, equipment and materials to maximise productivity and meet project deadlines.
* Monitor project progress and communicate effectively with client representatives and internal stakeholders regarding performance, schedules and operational requirements.
* Conduct inspections and oversee quality outcomes while identifying opportunities to improve work practices and site performance.
* Provide leadership, coaching and support to site personnel, including workforce coordination, performance management and timesheet oversight.
About you
You're a safety‐focused leader who thrives in industrial site environments, communicates well with teams and clients, and consistently delivers high‐quality outcomes.
You bring with you:
* A relevant trade or high‐risk qualification.
* Previous supervisory experience within industrial painting, blasting, structural remediation, maintenance or construction environments.
* Broad knowledge of site operations and workforce coordination across trade and non‐trade disciplines within industrial environments.
* Several years of site‐based industry experience leading or coordinating crews within industrial operations.
* Strong commitment to safety leadership and the ability to actively promote safe work practices across all activities.
* Sound computer skills, including the basic ability to use Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage teams, coordinate work scopes and maintain productive stakeholder relationships.
* A proactive and adaptable approach, with willingness to work flexible hours to support operational and project delivery requirements.
