General Practitioner Opportunity
The Currajong Clinic is a busy family practice that provides a full Bulk Billing service to the town of Gin Gin and its surroundings. This clinic is well-equipped with three consulting rooms, a computerized clinical and booking system, and a visiting physiotherapist who consults once a month. The clinic also has excellent admin staff and nursing support, including a nurse who coordinates chronic disease management plans, diabetes care, veterans care, vaccinations for children, travel, and influenza.
* We provide healthcare to the local Gin Gin area as well as the wider rural community, covering all aspects of General Practice, including men's and women's health, family planning, vaccinations, spirometry, minor surgery skin cancer care & skin checks, cryotherapy, excisions, chronic disease management, health assessments, lifestyle advice, audiology, counselling, ECGs, preventative care, and childhood immunisations.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive team environment, providing patient-centered care that addresses health needs and promotes wellness. You will be responsible for providing good clinical care, including skilled health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to patients, ordering diagnostic tests as needed, checking, and informing patients of results, referring patients appropriately, consulting and collaborating with colleagues, and documenting all care provided within their health record.
* To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate a knowledge of and compliance with all relevant legislation and common law obligations, discharge your duty of care, identify and respond to unsafe practice, demonstrate a patient-focused approach, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, maintain confidentiality, work constructively and harmoniously with all staff, and demonstrate an ability to work cooperatively and independently.
* Requirements include registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia, maintaining a current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certificate, current medical indemnity insurance, and a current driver's license.
