The Opportunity
We are looking for a Chef to join our team at Bracken House Aged Care Facility in Dubbo. A great opportunity exists with availability required on weekends for someone to perform cooking and kitchen duties.
We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents by providing and maintaining a high standard of cooking and food service within the facility.
What you will bring to the role :
* Experienced in bulk cooking preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting
* Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
* Strong time management and communication skills
* Understanding of residents rights person-centred care and dignity of risk
* Ability to manage change efficiently and effectively
* Ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel & Outlook)
* Certificate III & IV in Commercial Cookery / Hospitality
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and Special Dietary needs
* Experience in Aged Care desirable
* Current First Aid Certificate desirable
* Excellent communication skills
* Team player who is highly motivated
* Availability to work weekend shifts

Pre-employment screening
