About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Finance Officer to join our team. This role is designed to provide support and relief across a range of financial duties, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Payroll Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
 * Process employee payroll accurately and on time (fortnightly or monthly)
 * Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax and superannuation regulations
 * Prepare and lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) reports with the ATO
 * Calculate and process termination payments, bonuses, and adjustments
 * Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure correct journal entries
 * Handle employee queries
Financial Recordkeeping
Additional responsibilities include:
 * Record and reconcile daily financial transactions (accounts payable/receivable)
 * Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate coding of transactions
 * Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG, and superannuation payments
 * Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash
Reporting & Compliance
You will also:
 * Assist with monthly and quarterly financial reports
 * Utilise technical skills, including knowledge in accounting software (e.g., SAGE, SAP, or Pronto) and Excel
 * Apply knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and Fair Work requirements
