Clinical Governance Advisor (JN -012025-22967) Darwin, Australia

Location: Darwin

Base Salary: $116,512 per annum plus superannuation

cmr has partnered with a client seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Governance Advisor to join their team in Darwin City. This newly created role will be pivotal in strengthening their clinical governance focus and ensuring the consistent implementation of well-informed, evidence-based practices across their services.es.

This role aims to strengthen the organisation's clinical governance focus by supporting the implementation of consistent, quality-assured practices. It will involve developing a clinical risk management system, particularly for safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

Your Opportunity

* Lead clinical practice development by building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Oversee the development, monitoring, and evaluation of clinical governance systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and frameworks.
* Implement quality improvement measures such as performance tools, audit schedules, and reviews.
* Provide expert advice on local, national, and international best practices in clinical governance.
* Manage clinical governance reporting, incident reporting, and risk management processes.
* Prepare for and participate in accreditation and registration cycles relevant to program delivery.

About You

To excel in this role, you will bring:

* A higher education qualification in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or Mental Health (or a related field) with significant experience.
* Proven expertise in accreditation processes and clinical governance at an organizational level.
* High-level knowledge of contemporary, evidence-based, and culturally appropriate approaches to safeguarding children, mental health, and complex trauma.
* Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly when working with Indigenous communities.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster strong working relationships.
* Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to justice.
* Resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to exceed expectations when required.
* Cultural sensitivity and professionalism in all interactions.
* A team-oriented mindset, working collaboratively within a values-based framework.
