About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Engineer / Graduate Engineer to support our crane operations team in lift planning, crane configuration, and site inspections. This role offers hands-on exposure to heavy lifting projects and is ideal for someone looking to build a career in crane engineering and construction operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and assist with lift plans, lift studies, and SWMS
* Conduct site inspections and assess access, ground conditions, and lift constraints
* Develop and review crane configurations and lifting methodologies
* Interpret load charts, rigging requirements, and engineering drawings
* Liaise with project managers, clients, dogmen, and crane operators
* Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, WHS, and safety regulations
* Assist with engineering calculations and technical reporting
Skills & Experience
* Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Structural Engineering (or final year)
* Interest in cranes, rigging, lifting operations, or construction engineering
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD or similar CAD software (advantageous)
* Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
* Willingness to work on-site and in office
* Current driver’s licence (preferred)
