About This Opportunity 
UQ’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPPS) is seeking a highly motivated experienced, and inspiring Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice.
This is a pivotal role for a dedicated educator and researcher with a passion for academic service, who will help shape the next generation of pharmacists within our highly regarded programs preparing pharmacists for professional practice.
As a key member of our academic team, you will drive excellence in teaching, design and lead innovative course development, and deliver impactful research. You will be teaching and contributing to a legacy of clinical excellence, supported by a world-class environment that values both your research aspirations and your commitment to student mentorship.
In this role, you will be given the opportunity to:
Lead & Inspire: Coordinate and deliver core teaching within pharmacy programs.Innovate: Design and evolve curriculum to meet the changing needs of the pharmacy profession.Discover: Build a robust research profile with access to elite resources and a collaborative scholarly community.Mentor: Guide the researchers and practitioners of the next generation through dedicated student supervision and engagement.

About You
We are eagerly seeking candidates who possess:
A PhD in pharmacy, pharmacy practice or a related field.AHPRA Registration as a pharmacist.Experience and evidence of high-quality teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.Professional experience and expertise enabling you to teach pharmacy practice and cognate disciplines, including but not limited to, clinical therapeutics, professional practice, social and ethical dimensions of practice and clinical epidemiology.Experience in course coordination.A developing reputation and track record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences.
In Addition, The Following Would Be Considered Highly Desirable
Demonstrated contributions to the development and continuous innovation of new programs, curriculum design and course material in the area of pharmacy practice. A growing record of supervision of Research Higher Degree students.Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining and managing external research funding.Experience leading internal service roles at a School level while also actively contributing to external activities within the wider profession.
Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks including verification of the right to work in Australia (employer sponsored work rights are not available for this appointment) and other role-specific requirements such as AHPRA Registration. This may also include checks relating to gender-based violence matters or other integrity and conduct requirements.
