Connect APAC have been exclusively engaged by a leading FMCG organisation to source a National Account Manager to their Sydney based team. The National Account Manager roleis responsible for the end-to-end commercial management, growth strategy and execution of a number of product portfolios across both Coles and Woolworths. This position will be accountable for delivering profitable sales growth, managing customer relationships, preparing commercial propositions, executing promotional plans and ensuring internal alignment across forecasting, supply chain, finance, marketing and supplier partners. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across both major Grocery accounts, with an outstanding leadership team and market leading products.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute customer strategies aligned with organisational objectives, supplier priorities and customer growth plans.
* Own sales, profit, promotional and trade investment budgets across Coles and Woolworths.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including buyers, category managers and relevant cross-functional customer contacts.
* Lead customer negotiations across ranging, pricing, promotions, new product launches and commercial initiatives.
* Coordinate internal inputs required for range reviews, including pricing, forecasts, marketing support, supply chain feasibility, artwork, compliance and customer documentation.
* Manage NPD, line extensions, deletions and product lifecycle activity across the customer portfolio.
* Develop and manage customer promotional plans in line with agreed budgets, supplier objectives and customer requirements.
* Ensure promotional activity is commercially sound, accurately forecast and aligned to margin expectations.
* Provide accurate and timely forecasts aligned to promotional plans, customer demand, scan performance and known market activity.
* Work closely with Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics and suppliers to support DIFOT, stock availability and customer service expectations.
* Manage customer processes and systems accurately and on time, including customer portals, TPI systems, range review platforms and promotional submission tools.
* Ensure all customer deadlines, documentation requirements and compliance obligations are met.
Key Requirements
* Recent FMCG experience managing Coles and/or Woolworths, within the last five years.
* Strong understanding of Coles and Woolworths systems, processes, range review cycles and promotional planning requirements.
* Experience managing TPI systems and customer promotional programs.
* Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin management, trade spend, promotional ROI and customer profitability.
* Experience preparing customer presentations, range review submissions and commercial proposals.
* Strong forecasting and demand planning discipline.
* Experience working with internal TPI systems across forecasting/trade spend platforms.
* Strong stakeholder management skills across customers, suppliers and internal teams.
* Ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines and customer expectations.
* High attention to detail and strong ownership of follow-through.
* A proactive, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach.
