The Role:
We are seeking a Production Planner to ensure the efficient, cost-effective, and timely scheduling of SOILCO's soil, compost, and landscape material production. This role aligns production plans with sales forecasts, raw material availability, operational capacity, and quality standards to support reliable delivery to customers.
This is a hands-on planning role that works closely with operations, sales, logistics, procurement, and quality teams across multiple production sites.
The role is based in ACT with regular travel to Yass and reporting to the Site Manager Yass.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain production schedules that meet sales demand and inventory targets
* Coordinate raw materials, machinery, and workflow across multiple production sites
* Monitor stock levels for raw materials, work in progress and finished goods to ensure consistent product supply
* Work closely with operations, sales, logistics, and procurement to support on-time delivery
* Maintain accurate data across planning, inventory, and ERP systems
* Identify and escalate scheduling risks, bottlenecks and supply constraints
What we are Looking For:
* Experience in production scheduling, supply chain, manufacturing or operations planning
* Strong communication and coordination skills
* Comfortable analysing data and solving problems proactively
* Familiar with inventory, planning, or ERP systems
* Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities
* Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
* A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
