We are a pioneer in innovative re-refining committed to sustainability and innovation for the benefit our customers and our people.About the roleAs a Metal Fabricator, you report to the Fabrication Coordinator and are responsible for perform tasks in all aspects of new fabrication projects inclusive of theoretical design through to scoping of work site and completing fabrication and installationThis role requires you to:Perform high-quality TIG welding in line with relevant pipe welding codes and site fabrication standardsDeliver on all phases of new fabrication projects including interpretation of theoretical design plans, scoping and preparation of work sites, execution and fabrication and final installation and commissioningInterpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints to determine fabrication methods and material requirementsMark out and prepare metal stock for cutting, shaping, and forming operations using measuring tools and layout techniquesAssemble and join metal parts through various welding and fabrication methods, ensuring alignment with project tolerancesParticipate during site maintenance and shutdown operations, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to standardCarry out material stocktakes, request quotations, and source materials efficientlyTroubleshoot and problem-solve activities within the fabrication workshopAction issued work orders, ensuring works are accomplished in a timely manner and to correct specificationsPerform general housekeeping of workshop area and maintenance as requiredSalaryA salary of between $80,000 and $85,000 is on offer.
