Senior Geophysicist
The Senior Geophysicist plays a pivotal role in advancing the Geophysical team and investigation methods, while fostering business development and client relationships. This individual is responsible for project management of Geophysical Investigations, including testing and interpreting soil and rock materials to produce geophysical assessments and reports.
Located in our Sydney office, this full-time position requires occasional travel to onsite project work.
Key Responsibilities:
* In collaboration with the Geotechnical Manager, develop and submit proposals as requested by Clients.
* Pursue business development and maintain client liaison.
* Conduct research and development of geophysical techniques, incorporating cost analysis and return on investment evaluations.
* Manage projects from inception to completion.
* Evaluate and oversee subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Liaise with the Geotechnical Manager to coordinate daily/weekly work requirements.
* Employ geophysical techniques such as seismic refraction, magnetic surveys, gravity, resistivity, and downhole imagery.
Requirements for Success:
* Bachelor's Degree in Geophysics or Geology.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in the field.
* Strong technical writing skills.
* Numerical, analytical, and observational abilities.
* Capacity for problem-solving.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Valid working rights in Australia.

Salary: $75,000 (negotiable based on experience).
