Ocius Technology is an Australian company dedicated to developing and deploying cutting edge Uncrewed Surface Vehicles (USVs). Our vessel's harness Wind, Solar and Wave power to remain at sea collecting vital data for Defence and Civilian applications.
We are under contracts with RAN, RNZN and USA and are responding in an agile way to an ambitious program of building and deploying multiple USVs for operations around Australia and beyond.
About the Role
The USV Support Engineer ensures smooth and successful operation of the Bluebottle platform for our internal GCO team and external customers. The Support Engineer will troubleshoot a variety of hardware and software issues and provide analytics for a variety of use cases.
The Engineering function is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the design of Ocius assets, particularly the Bluebottle platform, while actively responding to operational and production requirements to ensure continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Working with our GCO team to troubleshoot software tickets remotely
* Analyzing telemetry data to build preventative maintenance reports
Selection Criteria
* Strong systems-level understanding of complex technical environments spanning mechanical, electrical/electronic, and software domains.
* Proven expertise in Unix administration, including advanced Bash scripting for automation and system management.
* Demonstrated experience in code configuration management using Git and deploying/rolling back software via CI/CD pipelines.
* Ability to perform remote system debugging and troubleshooting, including log analysis and root cause identification.
* Skilled in data analysis of complex datasets to identify software defects, performance trends, and trial outcomes.
