About us:
Capricornia Offender Health Service (COHS) is responsible for the delivery of health service to Prisoner in the Capricornia Correctional Centre (CCC) and Capricornia Correctional Farm (CCF) including workcamps. COHS provides a health service to a fluctuating population of approximately 1200 male prisoners within CCC and CCF. COHS provides clinical services within the correctional centre, which is unique to other clinical services, in that, COHS provides services within a structured day and security function of a correctional centre.
About the role:
* Prescribe medications, order, initiate and interpret diagnostic pathology and/or radiology. Lead and collaborate in the development and evaluation of clinical protocols, standards, policies and procedures.
* Work collaboratively with others to contribute to resource and health quality development.
* Contribute expert nursing assessment and advice to achieve integrated nursing care within a risk management and best practice framework.
* Participate in the implementation and evaluation of systems and processes to foster the development of a positive COHS culture and values, and optimum standards of practice and performance.
About you:
Current registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Nurse Practitioner Master's level qualification and NMBA endorsement to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is mandatory.
* The successful applicant will be required to undergo the CQ Health Nursing and Midwifery and Health Practitioner Credentialing and Defining Scope of Clinical Practice Committee Nurse requirements for credentialing as a Nurse Practitioner according to the CQ Health policy.
A demonstrated practice scope in, or completion of, or willingness to complete Opioid Dependence Treatment and Hep C prescriber course/s will be highly regarded.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $177,797 p.a. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $75.27 - $78.59 p.h.
