Are you a passionate Clinical Nurse specialising in palliative care, looking to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families? Join the Western Australia Country Health Service as we strive to provide exceptional palliative care services within our community and hospital settings in the South West. This pool will be utilised to cover vacancies across the South West region.
This is a Recruitment Pool for suitably qualified Clinical Nurses covering:
Permanent - Full Time, Permanent - Part Time, Fixed Term - Full Time, Fixed Term - Part Time, and Casual appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.
The following should be noted:
- Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
- Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2025.
Position Profile: The primary responsibilities of the Palliative Care Clinical Nurse are to manage, coordinate, and deliver competent nursing care for palliative care patients and their families, using sound leadership, advanced nursing skills, and knowledge relevant to palliative care nursing practice in community and hospital settings. The clinical nurse will support the ongoing development of the southwest palliative care team and the implementation of the palliative care rural model.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Registered Nurse eligible to practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated advanced nursing practice specifically within the palliative care setting.
- Well-developed team leadership and collaboration skills.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in risk management and quality initiatives in palliative care.
