We are currently seeking a Chef to join our team at The Deck Busselton. The position is full time,38 hours per week. For the successful candidate a salary of $76,515 per annum + superannuation will be offered.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all operations of the kitchen including food preparation,cooking, and overall workflow.
2. Responsible for kitchen opening and closing, service and set up.
3. Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain an efficient and well-stocked kitchen.
4. Communicating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients.
5. Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
6. Delegating tasks and responsibilities to kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation of the kitchen.
7. Supervise, train, and instruct kitchen staff to ensure high standard of performance and quality of dishes.
8. Hiring, recruiting, and rostering of kitchen staff as needed.
9. Preparing and cooking dishes in accordance with menu and customer preferences and dietary needs.
10. Collaborate with the front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
11. Menu planning and development, including creating recent dishes and updating existing ones.
12. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
13. Ensuring that the kitchen operates in compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
14. Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labour, and overhead cost.
15. Monitoring and controlling food and labour costs, inventory, and overall kitchen expenses.
Qualification and Experience:
1. Hold relevant qualification.
2. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
