About the Role
We’re looking for a dedicated and experienced Road Train Driver to join our team at Headingly Station, located near Urandangie approximately 200 km southwest of Mount Isa. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a vital part in the safe and efficient transport of cattle across the Barkly region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely perform your job and take responsibility for your safe work behaviour.
- Operate the Road Train to transport the livestock, hay and station equipment both on and off station.
- Complete any maintenance work required on the Road train and keep records of the work carried out.
- Maintain daily work diary and internal company documentation.
- Monitor Fuel & Oil usage, spare parts usage and inventory.
- Operating tractor for general farm duties including weed spraying, mowing, and stacking hay.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Current MC license required.
- Livestock handling experience.
- Fatigue management knowledge and/ or certificate.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- General machine maintenance experience.
- Strong organisational skills.
