The Role We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our Darwin team supporting delivery of major infrastructure and defence-related projects. This role will work closely with Project Managers, Supervisors, subcontractors and clients to support the successful delivery of fire protection and associated construction works across multiple projects.
The role involves both technical and site-based project coordination, including subcontractor management, QA/WHS compliance, procurement support, project reporting and engineering coordination. The role will involve coordination of RFIs, technical submittals, design documentation and stakeholder communication throughout project delivery. This opportunity will suit a hands-on Project Engineer who enjoys working across all aspects of project delivery and is comfortable working in fast-paced construction environments.
Please note: Due to project requirements, successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a Defence Common Access Card (DCAC). Key Responsibilities Support delivery of projects to ensure works are completed safely, on time and within budget
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site activities Assist with procurement, scheduling and project planning activities Monitor QA/QC compliance, inspections and project documentation
Assist with RFIs, technical queries, variations and engineering coordination Review drawings, specifications and project documentation Support project reporting, cost tracking and progress claims
Liaise with Project Managers, Supervisors, clients and project stakeholders Assist with implementation and compliance of WHS and environmental requirements Maintain accurate project records and documentation
About You Degree qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline
Experience in a Project Engineer, Site Engineer or similar construction/project delivery role Strong understanding of construction processes and project coordination Experience coordinating subcontractors and site-based activities
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively across project teams
Experience with Procore, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is desirable Australian work rights How
