What You'll Be Doing
To contribute to the efficient operation of the Clinical Information Department by processing the release of personal health information for medico-legal purposes (litigation, police requests, subpoenas, copies of clinical records, requests for medical reports, summary of injuries, deceased paperwork/records, and information for ongoing care). Ensure patient privacy is maintained as per relevant policies and procedures.

- Previous clerical experience in a health or legal environment.
- Completion of medical terminology course or willingness to complete the course.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, and demonstrate excellent team skills.
- Effective organisation and communication skills and the ability to deal with difficult customers.
- Demonstrated attention to detail to ensure accuracy in a high-volume setting.
- Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines and adapt to a changing environment.
- A good understanding of legislation regarding release of information and privacy.
- Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of computerised patient administration systems including electronic medical record systems.
