We're on the lookout for a Test Room Technician to join their dynamic team at their Manufacturing and Design facility in Melbourne's South Eastern Suburbs.
This is a Casual Contract - 3 Months with the possibility of extension
**Role Summary**
As a Test Room Technician, you will be at the forefront of our production testing, fault diagnosis, repair, and warranty servicing efforts. You'll get hands-on experience with a wide range of products designed and manufactured right here in Australia. **Responsibilities**
- Conduct testing and inspection of electronic products, with a particular focus on protection and supervision relays.
- Show off your skills by reading and understanding schematic diagrams with ease.
- Perform component-level troubleshooting, ensuring our electronics products are in top-notch condition.
- Attention to detail is key Carefully inspect and verify that products meet specifications before they go out to clients.
- Take on the challenge of interpreting and implementing in-house and customer test requirements and specifications.
- Keep things organized by completing thorough and accurate test reports.
- Embrace the fascinating world of calibrated test equipment to ensure product repeatability and accuracy.
- Be a quality control hero Monitor and confirm any trends identified during testing and calibration.
- Collaborate with various departments within the company, because teamwork makes the dream work
**Requirements**:
- Bring your passion and enthusiasm for electronics testing, backed by proven experience in a similar production test environment.
- Embrace the world of analogue and digital electronics, as well as electromechanical assemblies.
- Show your confidence in working safely within an electrical test environment.
- Your communication skills should be top-notch, both oral and written, so you can complete test documentation with clarity and precision.
- Hold a Certificate or Diploma related to Electrical or Electronic technology.
- Familiarity with microprocessor-based fault finding is a must.
- Experience with both Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-Hole Technology (THT) assemblies will set you apart.
- Be a team player with excellent time management skills and self-motivation.
- Knowledge of electrical wiring and manufacturing techniques is a bonus.
- Bring your expertise in reading and deciphering complex electronic schematic diagrams and component overlays.
- If you're well-versed in using test equipment like Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Doble, and LCR meters, we definitely want to hear from you
