About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Ward Clerk to join our Orthopaedic Ward 2A team. In this role, you will provide administrative support to patients, visitors, and clinical staff, ensuring a seamless experience from admission through to discharge.
This is a
permanent part-time role
(40 hours per fortnight), working
Tuesday to Friday, 8:00am to 1:00pm
.
About You
You are proactive, highly organized, and able to juggle competing priorities with confidence. Your strong communication skills, customer service focus, and attention to detail set you up for success in a busy ward environment. Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism comes naturally to you.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge processes, ensuring accurate and timely data entry
Liaise with medical, allied health, and support services to maintain smooth ward operations
Provide friendly and efficient front-desk support, assisting patients and visitors with queries
Maintain patient health records in line with hospital policies and standards
Handle phone enquiries, mail, and general administrative tasks as directed by the Ward Manager
Your skills will include:
Exceptional communication and customer service
Ideally experience as a Ward Clerk or a Hospital based clerical role
Knowledge of Meditech an advantage
The ability to work autonomously and as a team member
Committed to the Ramsay Way and have a keen desire to add positivity
Confidence and experience with various IT systems

Requirements
Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months.
