A unique leasership opportunity has arisen to become part of the Emergency Department at a private hospital in Melbourne as a Nurse Unit Manager. It is a permanent full-time position.
ROLE OVERVIEW
You will play a key role within a supportive team to ensure our patients have a great experience during their care.
As an Emergency Department Nurse Unit Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing leadership and direction to the Emergency department team;
* Providing clinical operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management;
* Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based;
* Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family-centred care in a team-focused environment;
* Providing guidance, mentoring, and support to your team;
* Being accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources;
* Undertaking direct patient care, as required;
* Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
* Current Registration with AHPRA;
* Working with Children check;
* Previous experience at NUM level or equivalent;
* Post Graduate qualification in critical care and experience in a critical care setting;
* A strong commitment to developing in a management role;
* A management degree or working towards (desirable);
* Demonstrated HR management experience;
* A sound knowledge base in labour management;
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer-focused care;
* High degree of computer literacy, including MS Office and various databases;
* Ability to work cohesively within a team environment.
