Nuclear Medicine Technologist
. You will be based at the Latrobe regional hospital in Traralgon. This role is permanent full-time, working Monday to Friday between the hours of 6:30am and 6pm.
We are open to
senior technologists
that can help drive the team and develop leadership skills, but also
junior technologists looking for some great experience.
Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine/PET Coordinator, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of
Nuclear Medicine
including radiopharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard.
As a
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
, you will manage patients and operate specialised imaging equipment in accordance with professional standards. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and energetic person who is willing to learn in a busy private practice and hospital settings.
Key accountabilities include:
Performing all aspects of Nuclear Medicine including radiopharmaceutical preparation and Quality Control procedures to the highest standard
Consistently delivering high levels of patient care and service
Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff and managers
Promoting and maintaining the highest quality and safety standards
Our Ideal Nuclear Medicine Technologist:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated ability to perform high quality Nuclear Medicine examinations independently
High competency in PET examinations
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of health professionals and corporate staff
Tertiary qualification in Nuclear Medicine
Applicants must be AHPRA Registered and hold a VIC radiation license
Diagnostic CT accreditation would be an advantage but not required.
