They are currently looking to fill an Accounts Receivable Officer role in their Adelaide office.
**Your new role**
The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for the Accounts Receivable function within the Finance team and enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders. You will report to the Accounts and Payroll Manager.
Your key responsibilities include
- Accurately record funds received to customer accounts and the general ledger.
- Responsible for facilitating the accounts receivable process, resulting in the collection of outstanding debts.
- Recommend action on recovery of outstanding debts exceeding 60 days to the Accounts & Payroll Manager.
- Prepare information for debtor review meetings
- Complete credit checks for new debtor accounts and recommend appropriate credit limits.
- Close and reconcile debtor ledger at month end, send statements
- Assist with year-end audit
- Accurate and timely preparation of invoices and credit notes
- Generate ad hoc query reports from the financial management system as requested.
- Oversee and monitor the use of credit card facilities for customer payments.
- Accurately record all accounts receivable documentation, including filing and archiving according to company policy.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven experience working in accounts receivable or a similar financial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
