Overview
Head of Paid Search (Google AdWords, PPC, SEM) to lead a team at King Kong, a fast-growing full-service digital marketing agency. The role is to drive the success of paid search campaigns, develop department processes, implement strategies, and ensure the team is supported and achieving department KPIs. This role has minimal client-facing time as the Account Management team handles client communication.
Responsibilities
* Take full responsibility for managing the Paid Search team in day-to-day activities, including performance management and professional development plans for team members
* Mentor and train the Paid Search team, ensuring the quality of work is of a high standard
* Establish and document processes for the effective delivery of the Paid Search function
* Collaborate with Senior Management to develop and manage an appropriate KPI structure for the Paid Search team
* Assist the team in troubleshooting client issues
* Be the first level of escalation for client-related issues for the Company
* Assist in recruitment, onboarding/offboarding and performance management lifecycle of team members
* Lead the growth of the Paid Search division through innovation and results
* Distribute and manage client work across the Paid Search team
* Collaborate with other departments regarding processes and policies that impact or are impacted by the Paid Search function
* Ensure concise and proactive communication between the Paid Search team and other departments
* Prepare reporting and feedback for Senior Management to aid in business decision making
* Perform responsibilities of a paid search specialist for a portfolio of clients and internal campaigns
* Setup, manage and optimise campaigns on Google AdWords and YouTube
* Analyse analytics to identify areas of opportunity and apply conversion rate optimisation tactics to maximise ROI
* Educate Account Managers who build day-to-day client relationships
* Be invested in each client's business as though it were your own
* Prepare performance analysis reports and recommend corrective modifications for ongoing optimisation
* Keep informed about Paid Search industry trends to identify opportunities for the Company and clients
Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in a leadership role
* 5+ years of PPC experience
* Advanced Excel experience
* Excellent client escalation abilities
* Demonstrated experience in building and managing AdWords campaigns
* Google AdWords & Analytics certified
* Excellent time management skills
* Excellent communication skills
