Five Star Games is the leading independent games distributor in Australia and was founded in 2012 with its offices centrally located in Pyrmont NSW.
The company which has undergone substantial growth over the past 5 years, is seeking a Key Account Manager to manage sales and promotions of well-known gaming and accessories brands such as Sega, Capcom, Konami, Moza racing, Gamesir and more, across major national and specialist retailers.
About the Role
The role which will be based in our offices in Pyrmont (3 days in office and two days from home), reports into the General Manager and will be an autonomous role with good opportunity for growth for the right candidate. This position is focused on sales of new release product as well as lifecycle management and promotional activity of back catalogue across software and accessories to ensure sales are maximised and profit targets are achieved.
Key responsibilities
* Develop and execute sales strategies of new release and everyday constant products to achieve quarterly and annual targets.
* Sales and forecasting of new release products.
* Working with the marketing team to maximise product support and activity within managed accounts.
* Maintain/grow retailer relationships.
* Manage stock levels and life cycles of product within retailers to capitalise on sales opportunity whilst mitigating slow stock risks through inventory management and promotional vehicles.
* Work with retail and internal cross functional teams to plan and forecast stock requirements 3-6 months in advance.

To apply for this position, candidates need to be self-motivated and passionate about managing national and specialist retailers on a day-to-day basis with new product and promotions whilst also driving sales of everyday lines.
Video games industry experience would be highly regarded, but is not essential, however a proactive and positive attitude with at least 3 years relevant experience in managing a large range of products with national accounts is, and only people with these attributes should apply.
