Are you passionate about protecting Queensland's natural environment? This role offers the chance to develop and apply practical field and administrative skills in environmental management, legislation, and program development, while contributing to the sustainable management of our State's protected areas and forests.
This primarily administrative role provides a dynamic and varied work environment, supporting operational programs such as visitor, estate, fire, and pest management, while helping to shape policies, guidelines, and procedures. Monitoring activities, developing methodologies, and creating systems to enhance protected area and forest management and improve compliance will be key aspects of your work.
Building strong relationships with stakeholders is essential. You'll work closely with community members, Indigenous groups, government agencies, and industry partners to ensure effective management of protected areas and State forests. Additionally, you'll prepare reports, submissions, and briefing papers to inform decision-making and drive positive outcomes and improve the behaviour of park and forest users.
We're looking for a motivated and adaptable team player with strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. A proactive approach and commitment to environmental conservation are essential.
