A boutique funds management team with a national team and a head office in Melbourne would be considered established in the Australian market. With a larger institutional client base, they are well structured and resourced. Housed with a Head of People, they are now looking for a part time and Max Term Contract HR Associate/ to work alongside them and to work through a period of hiring growth and annual reviews.
The Role and Responsibilities
Reporting into the Head of People/HR this person will play a key role in ensuring that the day to day operations of the HR team run smoothly. The HR team is small, so a 'hands on' nature is required. Responsibilities include:
coordination of HR activities through the employment life cycle
ensuring data integrity through Workday
talent acquisition activities
employee onboarding
manage training and qualifications records
produce reports for boards, committees and management
assist with health and safety requirements
Your Experience and Qualifications
You have experience as an HR advisor or coordinator, ideally within financial services or professional services. It is likely that you have studied in the area, with a relevant degree in hand. You have a sound understanding of legislation and HR best practices. You must be proficient in Workday. You have good interpersonal skills and consider yourself professional and hard working.
*this is a 4 day a week role for a 7 month period, commencing around early May.
