The Role
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer will support the delivery of a new and exciting package of works based in Sydney. The role offers involvement across the full project lifecycle — from planning and engineering support through to delivery, risk management, and client liaison.
This position is suited to a driven engineer with at least three years' experience in demolition, construction, or civil/structural engineering, who enjoys problem-solving and thrives in a fast-paced project environment.
Key Duties
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing engineering and technical support using AutoCAD, REVIT, and 3D modelling tools
* Supporting the preparation of tender submissions and project deliverables
* Maintaining and updating project risk registers
* Managing project documentation and implementing document control procedures
* Developing and monitoring project budgets, costs, and forecasts
* Preparing cost estimates and financial reports for project activities and resources
* Building and maintaining project schedules, milestones, and critical paths
* Identifying and mitigating project risks and delays in collaboration with the team
* Liaising with internal stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
About You
To be successful, you will have:
* A degree in civil, structural, environmental, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Project Engineer in demolition, construction, or heavy civil environments
* Proficiency in AutoCAD/REVIT and strong documentation and project control skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and teams
* A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic project environment
