Graduate Urban Planner
DFP Recruitment is currently seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Graduate Urban Planner on behalf of our State Government Client. This is an entry-level position ideal for a recent graduate looking to kick-start their career in urban planning. The opportunity is initially for up to 6 months with the possibility of extension. **Responsibilities**:
- Conduct research and analysis on various urban planning issues, including land use, transportation, infrastructure, and environmental impact.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for urban planning projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective planning outcomes.
- Assist in conducting public consultations and engaging with the local community to gather feedback and input for planning initiatives.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, regulations, and best practices in urban planning.
**Requirements**:
- A degree in Urban Planning/ Town Planning, Urban Studies, or a related field.
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to prepare reports.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Basic understanding of urban planning principles, policies, and relevant legislation.
- Familiarity with GIS software and other urban planning tools is desirable.
