Reporting to the Cluster Reservations Manager, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic Group Reservations Agent to join the on-property Groups Reservations Team. The Group Reservations Agent is a cluster role supporting two hotels; Melbourne Marriott Hotel Docklands and AC by Marriott Hotel Southbank. Responsibilities include: Reporting to the Cluster Reservations manager, your responsibilites will include, but are not limited to: Assist hotel group guests to ensure a successful event from pre-arrival through departure. Prepare and distribute accurate function sheets, rooming lists, and event resumes to relevant departments. Engage with clients to understand their vision and specific requirements. Ensure all administrative records are accurate and up-to-date in systems (CRM/PMS). Conduct post-event follow-ups and engage feedback to drive improvement. Build lasting relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. Ensure close communication with other hotel departments to ensure every guest has a smooth arrival experience. Handling and processing group reservations and inquiries from all booking channels. What we are looking for To be successful in this position, you will have: Previous experience in a Group Reservations Agent role in a 4- or 5-star hotel. A quick learner with the ability to understand a range of booking systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and PMS/event platforms. Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook. Strong attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and work productively in a busy environment.
