Key Responsibilities include:
* Attend sites at key construction milestones to review quality of construction
* Review Private Certifier reports provided by the Project Manager and attend site to undertake spot checks of contractor rectification
* Provide written report to the Project Manager and building contractor detailing building quality issues/defects identified throughout the construction for rectification.
* Support the Project Managers and/or Consultant on site to identify defects and OHS issues in accordance with relevant standards
* Work directly with the building contractors and their subcontractors to improve quality outcomes on Stockland projects including conducting prestart workshops with nominated subcontractors
* Assist in identifying skill gaps and provision of training to Project Managers relating to quality
The ideal candidate will have a minimum 15 years built-form experience in a site supervisory capacity. Strong on-the-tools experience is highly desirable.
A strong understanding of the requirements of the National Code of Construction, Australian Standards, manufacturers installation guidelines and any other relevant statutory standards and/or guidelines is essential.
