Job Title: Technical Officer - Biomedical Engineering
Job Description:
The Biomedical Engineering team is responsible for the smooth operation of medical equipment across hospitals and regional health centres in Tasmania. With a statewide presence, our team operates cohesively to provide onsite support for managing all medical equipment.
As a Technical Officer, you will participate in a broad range of activities at both the workshop and clinical levels. Responsibilities include hands-on repair and compliance testing, managing service agreements and contractors, and providing technical advice on biomedical equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A sound understanding of the principles of instrumentation
* Demonstrated experience in electronic fault finding and repair, including computer-controlled systems and devices
* Effective communication skills and ability to liaise with healthcare workers
* Ability to work individually and as a member of a team in an environment subject to change

Eligibility:
* Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electronic or Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution
* Current Driver's Licence
