About the Role
We are seeking a reliable Assistant Service Technician to join a growing aluminium windows and doors manufacturer based in Stapylton.
This is a hands-on role combining factory production support with on-site quality checks and service work. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians to ensure high-quality installations and customer satisfaction.
Ideal for candidates with trade assistant, installer, service technician, or manufacturing experience looking for stable, long-term employment.
What’s on Offer
* $34.40 per hour + penalty rates for overtime
* Monday to Friday day shifts
* Ongoing role with pathway to permanent employment
* Career progression from Level 1 through to Level 4
* Paid travel, accommodation, and Living Away from Home Allowance (LAHA) when required
* Immediate start available
Key Responsibilities
* Travel to customer and client sites to conduct quality checks
* Assist with servicing and adjustments on installed products
* Assemble windows and doors when based in the factory
* Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
* Maintain clean and safe work areas
Travel Requirements
Travel required approximately 1–2 times per month, anywhere from Mackay to Newcastle.
Accommodation and LAHA provided for overnight stays.
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience as a Service Technician, Trade Assistant, Installer, or similar
* White Card (essential)
* Confident using hand and power tools
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Physically fit and able to lift when required
* Own transport and PPE
* Able to pass physical assessment and police check
