We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part Time Trade Assistant & Aluminum Welder to support our electronic scoreboard production team.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform aluminum welding operations using MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding techniques.
* Set up welding machines based on the job at hand and adjust settings as needed.
* Fabricate and assemble metal parts with precision, ensuring strong, durable welds.
* Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications.
* Assist in the assembly and production of scoreboards according to specifications.
* Operate and maintain machinery and equipment under supervision.
* Operate a table saw for the cutting of polycarbonate window panels.
* Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards.
* Package finished products and prepare them for shipping.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
* Assist with inventory management, including counting and organizing materials.
* Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
* Potential to assist the team onsite during installation of products

* Prior experience in aluminium welding is a must
* Certificate in welding is desirable but not a requirement
* Minimum - unrestricted car license and the ability to tow trailers
* Are organized and enthusiastic
* A keen interest in electronics and sports timing solutions
* Existing hand assembly or soldering experience is desired
* Competency with power tools
* You will have a good mechanical aptitude, a problem solver and a steady hand.
* Forklift license would be highly regarded but on job training can be provided
* Strong attention to detail and take pride in your work
* You will be willing to learn new skills and expand your capabilities in an exciting and unique industry.
This role is available on a part time, 4 days per week basis, with the opportunity to progress into a full time role based on business levels. Prior aluminum Welding experience is a requirement of all applicants.
