Company: Tier 1 EPCM in MiningLocation: Western Australia (Site-based or Perth-based)

About the Role

Multiple Environmental Advisor opportunities are available, suited to individuals who enjoy remote, field-based work and are passionate about ecology, environmental compliance, and mine-closure practices. Perth-based applicants with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop Environmental Management Plans (EMPs), monitor construction sites for compliance, and manage relationships with regulatory bodies.
* Plan and support mine-closure activities, including vegetation restoration and rehabilitation trials.
* Conduct assessments, baseline biological surveys for exploration programs, and air/noise monitoring.
* Undertake fauna assessments, with a particular focus on habitat evaluation for the Gouldian Finch.
* Implement Heritage Protection Plans and work closely with Traditional Owners.
* Conduct field inspections and verifications under the Ground Disturbance Procedure (GDP).
* Assist with processing, tracking, and administering GDP permits.
* Maintain accurate environmental records, monitoring data, and reporting inputs.
* Use ArcGIS Pro for mapping, spatial analysis, and environmental data management (highly regarded).

About You

* Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Ecology, or a related discipline.
* Experience working in remote field environments, ideally within mining, rehabilitation, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Experience in the resources sector (WA experience preferred for Australian-based roles).
* Strong knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals, and permitting processes.
* Experience with fauna assessment techniques and habitat condition evaluation.
* Understanding of GDP processes or similar ground-disturbance management systems.
* Ability to work in remote locations or on FIFO rosters.
* Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro is highly desirable.
