Little Yacks Learning Years (LYLY) caters for children from 6 weeks to 5 years of age with a license for 44 children. LYLY is a long day early learning service nestled in the beautiful township of Yackandandah, uniquely positioned on the Yackandandah Health grounds within an intergenerational space comprising a Residential Aged Care Facility, Medical Centre, CARE Sanctuary and LYLY educational service.
Role Description
Little Yacks Yearning Years has an exciting opportunity for a VIT registered Kindergarten Teacher to deliver our 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten Programs at our unique service. This position is perfect for someone who has an extensive knowledge of the importance of nurturing relationships and the foundational development in the first 5 years of life. Our small service is growing and we are looking for passionate Teachers to join our team.
Little Yacks takes a home-like approach to education. Our newly renovated learning environments support a strong sense of belonging for children, families and educators. Educators will have paid professional development time and training through our SRF plan and individual learning plans.
Residents and children engage in our Intergenerational programme fortnightly, including with other key workers of YH. Our programmes enrich participants' lives and address social and community issues while enhancing knowledge and wisdom for members of all ages.

Essential Qualifications
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or an equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA.
Valid Teacher's Registration (Provisional or Full).
First Aid Certificate including training in asthma, anaphylaxis and CPR.
Essential Skills and Attributes
Deep understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS).
Ability to plan, implement and evaluate educational programmes tailored to individual children's needs and interests.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with children, families and colleagues.
Skill in observing children's progress, documenting their learning and using this information to guide future planning.
Ability to work effectively with other educators, support staff and families to create an inclusive, responsive, and respectful learning environment.
Desirable Skills and Knowledge
Prior experience teaching in an early childhood setting.
Ensuring an inclusive environment where all children, regardless of backgrounds or abilities, can thrive.
Familiarity with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations.
Engagement in ongoing training and development to stay abreast of the latest educational trends and practices.
Familiarity with relevant software and technology tools used for children's documentation and parent communication.
